Last month we blogged about free smartphone apps to organise your finances, wardrobe and workload.
The sheer number of helpful free organisation apps is so extensive that we couldn’t just stop there.
Now that your wallet, work schedule and clothing collection are all in order, discover even more ways to convert your smartphone into your very own professional organiser - for free!
Planning a holiday is a double-edged sword. The end result is so worth it, when you’re tanning on an exotic island or exploring a vibrant city, but the planning process can be a little... stressful to say the least.
Luckily, we live in an age where paper tickets and booking confirmations are almost entirely a thing of the past, but that doesn’t mean we don’t need documentation to refer to to get us to our destination in one piece.
TripIt is an extremely handy free app that takes all of your travel confirmations scattered across your email and apps and puts them into the one, easy to navigate spot.
Whether it’s flights, accommodation, tours or car hire, having TripIt create one linear itinerary is as easy as forwarding your newest booking confirmation to a set TripIt email and it instantly uploads to your very own schedule. The free version is great, but the affordable upgrade includes even more features, including live travel updates, airport assistance and check-in reminders.
Planning and preparing meals ahead of time can save you serious time and money, and meal prep pros have - luckily for us - developed free apps geared toward streamlining meal organisation.
Mealime is a free and highly-rated app that provides easy cooking instructions and recipes, personalised meal plans that are unique to your own eating habits and grocery lists that don’t allow for excess waste.
Alternatively, 8fit could be for you. Not only does this health and fitness app include meals plans and prep tips, it also doubles as a personal trainer in your pocket, with workouts and fitness tips available at the touch of a button.
The lead up to (and the comedown from) planning a party shouldn’t be a chore or something to fret about. It should all be part of an exciting experience! But we get it.Planning a party can be even more stressful than planning a trip. There’s the guest list, the decorations, the venue, the food, the bar tab…
However, if you can’t afford a party planner, there are options - right in your phone’s app store. Search ‘party planner’ and you’ll be hit with a seemingly endless number of apps designed to assist you, with some being free and others coming at a price.
Party Planner Lite is a free imitation of the pricey (but well worth it) Pro Party Planner. View a party countdown, organise expense lists, create a guest list and calculate each guests individual drinks costs.
Wunderlist is another helpful tool that allows for the creation of to-do lists and tasks. Not only are amateur party planners using it to organise their next big do’, but it’s a great resource to whip any other area of your life into shape as well!
We hope you’ve enjoyed EFM’s organisation blog series. Stay tuned for future blogs shining a spotlight on what’s happening in the world of apps.
